Sofie is a dentist with 20 years of experience and a strong focus on orthodontic treatments. Within the practice, the personalized approach is central: an individual treatment plan is developed for each patient, with an emphasis on quality, transparency, and clear communication.

In 2006, Sofie graduated as a dentist from Ghent University (UGent) with the highest distinction. She subsequently deepened her knowledge in orthodontics through training in the Netherlands (European Academy of Integrated Dentistry).

She is a general dentist with particular skill and extensive experience in orthodontic treatments, but is not a recognized specialist in orthodontics (INAMI 007). In Belgium, dentists are permitted to perform orthodontic treatments in compliance with the applicable legal framework and INAMI regulations. Her practice operates in strict accordance with these rules.

Over the years, she has dedicated herself intensively to modern treatment techniques, developing particular expertise in aligner treatment (clear aligners).

Sofie continuously pursues further training, both nationally and internationally, in order to provide her patients with treatments based on the most current knowledge in orthodontics.

In addition to her clinical work, she is regularly invited as a speaker at conferences and training sessions, where she shares her experience with her colleagues in dentistry.

Since 2018, Sofie has been an affiliate member of the prestigious European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry — a wonderful recognition of her work and passion.

At the Tervuren practice, patients can consult Sofie (whether referred by their own dentist or not) for orthodontic treatment and no-obligation advice. Sofie has deliberately chosen a small-scale practice, where patients receive the time and space they need.

Sofie oversees the follow-up of each patient from start to finish, in close collaboration with her colleagues: dental hygienist Morgane De Bouw and dentist Lou'Ann Jacquemin. Together, they ensure the smooth progress of your treatment and the maintenance of your oral health.
